Parent Fraction Class-
Parents have requested a
fraction class to explain how we teach fractions in class. All parents/guardians are welcome to attend the class for their child’s level. The
same material will be covered in each class.

Help Your child with Homework-
Children often struggle with
Homework and parents often wonder how best to support their children at home. I
will be hosting two informal sessions providing some advice about supporting
your child with their homework and suggesting some useful websites to use at
home. Parents/Guardians welcome to attend.

Operation Transformation Group for parents in school starting
this coming Friday January 15th - meet in the
afterschool room, go for a short walk and to see how we are getting on.

Yard Games- the student council are looking
for parent helpers to design and paint some simple games onto the yard. Anyone
interested in helping is welcome to come along to a meeting on Jan 12th
@ 8.40am to make a plan!

Maths for Fun- 2nd
Class 4 week block (Denise and Colum) We are currently looking for parents/guardians to
take part in this. Even if you can help for one 30min session, that would be
great! The games are very easy and will be explained beforehand so do not worry
if you think they might be difficult! Sessions will be start @ 8.30am

Story time Project!
Some of the Junior infant parents have been taking part in the 'Storytime Project' at home with their children. So far we have read three different books and both the parents and kids seem to be really enjoying themselves. The books included are 'Love from Louisa', 'Alfie gets in first', 'Peace at Last' and Rita's Rhino. Keep up the good work guys!
Senior Infant Story time helpers!
This week we started Storytime in Senior Infants. Moms, Dads and helpers from Joe's and Mel's class have been reading some lovely stories to the class in small groups. Everyone has been having a great time! thanks to all the helpers!
Yoga for Parents!
Yoga with Magda is back and this has been a great success. All parents are welcome to come along on Tuesday mornings at 8.40am.
Healthy Eating Course!
Linda Scanlon from the Northside Partnership has just started a 6 week healthy eating course on Wednesday Mornings in the Afterschool Room. All parents welcome to come along!
3rd Class Parents!
Recently all the third class parents were invited for coffee after the Assembly on Friday. It was lovely to catch up and see lots of parents coming together for a nice cup of tea and a chat!
Science Week Madness!!
Huge thanks to Aiveen and the parents who helped out during Science Week, especially those who came to talk about their professions in the Science field. We all learned a lot and enjoyed the different experiments and dressing up as Silly Scientists!!
Healthy Eating Demo for Wellbeing Week!
Thanks for Mel for doing a fantastic talk on healthy eating and food choices during Wellbeing week. We all enjoyed some healthy humus, frittatas and quinoa salad!...delicious!
Zumba Wake and Shake!!
Thanks to Cara and Becca for getting all the kids, parents and teachers moving for our WAKE AND SHAKE Zumba session for Wellbeing Week. We all really enjoyed the fun moves!
Parent council Cake Sale!
Huge thanks to everyone for making such a huge effort with the Cake sale. We had an enormous amount of cakes and raised lots of money for the school...along with enjoying some delicious cakes!!
