Esafety Parents and Children:
Children will be receiving input in school from Esafety on May 25th. ESafety specialise in internet safety talks for children and parents.
Parents are strongly encourage to attend the parent talk which will take place on
Wed May 25th @7pm in school.
eSafety provides education and awareness to parents, teachers & students on issues surrounding the internet and available technologies. Today, the internet is everywhere around us on mobile phones, games consoles, ipods etc. The internet can be a great resource for children, both in their education and future careers. However, it is essential that we equip and prepare them to use the internet appropriately and safely, With relevant, up-to-date teaching on this topic, children can enjoy a more safe and enjoyable surfing experience. The internet can provide a fantastic opportunity for children but at the same time they can be putting themselves at risk to online dangers. The fast evolution of the internet through technology means that it is becoming more difficult to supervise. A basic understanding of the internet and the technology your children are using is a great place to start. Although this may seem intimidating to some parents, a basic understanding can give you the information to help identify potential risks and guide your children to safer online interaction (www.esafety.ie)
